Two really fun Christmas presents from my husband have been my Dremel tool with all the attachments (used for everything from cleaning the shower to carving magic wands) and a scroll saw.

A two-layer wooden puzzle I made for a friend’s twin grandchildren (“H” and “A” being the first letters of their names) from scrap oak.

[Used hubby’s sliding compound miter saw (and lots of sandpaper)for this project.]

This misshapen treble clef was my first project with the scroll saw. I thought it was a miserable failure, but friends loved its imperfections. I ended up making FIVE of these, using this original as the template.
